Liquid nutrient medium for the detection of beer spoiling bacteria:

  • Lactobacilli spp,
  • Pediococci spp,
  • Pectinatus spp,
  • Megaphaera spp.

Can be used, for example, to test the operating yeast for beer spoiling bacteria. Possible contamination is indicated by a pH-based indicator with a color change from red to yellow

Reference medium according to EBC and MEBAK

pH: 5.8 ±0.2

Incubation temperature: 25 - 28°C

Incubation period: 5 days

Storage temperature: 4-8 °C
