As a 100% subsidiary of the Versuchs- und Lehranstalt für Brauerei in Berlin (VLB) e.V., VLB LaboTech has been providing specialized laboratory equipment for the beverage industry since 2008.
LaboTech's work can be traced back to the work of the glassblowing workshop of the Association of Spirits Manufacturers, which was founded in 1876.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, supply bottlenecks and a changing market, a restructuring was necessary. In addition to a reorganization of personnel, the product range was also restructured.
As part of the restructuring, we expanded the goods and services we offer. For example, since this year we have been the contact and supplier for calibration standards for hop analysis.
Access to the VLB Berlin Ring Analysis Malt offers laboratories in breweries and malt houses the opportunity to regularly check the quality of their analyses in a practical manner. Test materials are sent out up to twelve times a year. Participation serves as proof of analytical competence and supports the standardization of internal procedures.
